I arrived in the Dominican Republic and headed to my
apartment. Put my luggage in the apartment and went to Carnival about 3 blocks
from where I live. The Costumes were beautiful; the Music was loud and had a
great beat. It was a great way to be
introduced to the Dominican Republic. The next couple of days I unpacked and
started setting up my apartment, went for very long walks after dinner with a
friend from the church. Went to a place by the Ocean where they have an outside
Gym with great music and a place for kids to play it was very beautiful.
Practiced my Spanish with the people who work here, went to Church and I am
getting settled in for work on Monday.
