It is now January and we are off to a good start. This past week we had a group from Georgia here to help with the drilling of a well. The well is to provide water to the school which for some time has had no water. They were using the water from the canal.The group watched the company drill a 220 foot well through solid stone. The group also taught the classes about 4 different countries. Germany, South Africa, Japan and the United States. All the children and the teachers really enjoyed the classes. We then went for a tour through the neighborhood and one of the people who work at the school has serious health issues. The problems she has is the wood used for the roof was turning to dust and she was breathing the dust and getting more sick. So, speaking with the group they decided to replace her whole roof including the wood. At church on Sunday another woman who was also ill needed a new roof so now each year when the group comes they along with the priest will pick someone from the community to receive some help with the repairs on their houses. In the next month the pumps will be installed to supply the school and in the very near future we will install a water purification system. The group is very excited and can't wait to come back. La semana pasada tuvimos un grupo de Georgia aquí para ayudar con la perforación de un pozo. El pozo es proporcionar agua a la escuela, que durante algún tiempo no ha tenido agua. Estaban usando el agua del grupo canal.The observaba la compañía perforar un pie 220 bien a través de roca sólida. El grupo también enseñó las clases sobre 4 países diferentes. Alemania, Sudáfrica, Japón y Estados Unidos. Todos los niños y los maestros realmente disfrutaron de las clases. Luego nos fuimos a dar un recorrido por el barrio y una de las personas que trabajan en la escuela tiene problemas de salud graves. Los problemas que tiene es la madera utilizada para el techo se estaba convirtiendo en polvo y estaba respirando el polvo y cada vez más enfermo. Así que, hablando con el grupo decidieron reemplazar todo su techo incluyendo la madera. En la iglesia el domingo otra mujer que también estaba enfermo necesita un nuevo techo por lo que ahora cada año cuando el grupo viene que junto con el sacerdote va a recoger a alguien de la comunidad para recibir un poco de ayuda con las reparaciones en sus casas. En el próximo mes se instalarán las bombas para abastecer a la escuela y en un futuro muy próximo se instalará un sistema de purificación de agua. El grupo está muy emocionada y no puedo esperar a volver. Bendiciones
